How It Works
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions employers most often ask about running employee volunteering through Care to Volunteer.
Questions from employers
What does council-verified mean? Completed volunteering hours are confirmed on the platform and then verified by the local authority before they appear in your reports. This is different from self-reported hours, which rely on the employer or employee alone.
How do employees join? Your employees are synced by API or Excel upload and invited to download the Buddii app. They request time, receive approval and book activities within the app.
Who approves volunteering time? You decide. Approval can sit with line managers, HR or both, in line with your existing policy.
What do volunteers actually do? Non-regulated community support such as shopping, companionship and digital help. Regulated personal care remains with registered care providers.
Can we include other CSR activity? Yes. You can record other contributions, for example apprenticeships or environmental initiatives, so your CSR reporting sits in one place.
How much administration is involved? Very little. After setup, matching, confirmation, verification and reporting are handled by the platform.
