Social Value
Real activity. Measured Impact. Evidence you can stand behind
Care to Volunteer supports volunteering delivery and reporting, keeping Verified Activity, Measured Impact and Indicative Social Value distinct so organisations can understand both the contribution and its evidence.
Why it matters
Social Value commitments require credible evidence
Boards, investors and public sector buyers increasingly ask what difference an organisation makes locally. Estimates without evidence are easy to question.
CSR and ESG reporting
Clear figures for annual and sustainability reports.
Public sector tenders
Supporting evidence for Social Value responses.
Employee engagement
Showing staff the difference their time makes.
How value is evidenced
Three layers, kept clearly separate
Verified Activity
Attendance confirmed by the community organisation, with hours and activity recorded.
Council review
Activity reviewed and approved by the local council, adding assurance to the record.
Indicative Social Value
An estimate calculated from verified activity using documented UK proxy values, always labelled as indicative.
Not every activity carries a monetary value. Where no suitable proxy exists, the outcome is reported as Measured Impact only.

Connection & wellbeing
Time that reduces isolation and helps people feel part of their community.

Rooted in everyday places
Community is closer than a national headline
It is the hall around the corner, a shared garden or the place where neighbours meet. Meaningful support begins by listening to what matters locally.
Employers, community organisations and local authorities each bring a different perspective. Care to Volunteer connects those priorities through practical programmes, with outcomes recorded in their local context.
Explore community partnershipsCivic places

Shared surroundings
Gardens, parks and neighbourhood spaces that bring people together.
Local relationships
Community organisations with an understanding of the people they support.
Behind every figure is a person who was helped
Social Value reporting is only meaningful when it reflects real time given, real connection made and real need met. That is the standard we report to.
