Care to Volunteer

Our Vision & Mission

Creating stronger communities through the power of human connection

We believe that meaningful social change begins when people connect, contribute and care for one another.

Care to Volunteer exists to bring that belief into everyday organisational life, creating opportunities for people to give their time, strengthen communities and turn social responsibility into meaningful action.

Human connection, made part of everyday life

Our Vision

A society where giving time is part of everyday life

We envision a future where organisations and individuals play an active role in building connected, compassionate and resilient communities.

Our vision brings together two connected ambitions. The first is to create genuine social value through human connection, companionship, inclusion and stronger communities, addressing loneliness and social isolation through meaningful relationships as well as services and financial support.

The second is to make CSR and social-value volunteering straightforward for organisations and their employees, so that giving time becomes a natural part of working life rather than another administrative burden.

We believe social value should be experienced by people, not simply recorded in corporate reports.

Our Mission

Making volunteering easier. Making every contribution count.

Care to Volunteer makes meaningful volunteering simple for organisations and their people. Employers should not have to navigate the complexities of finding suitable charities, identifying opportunities, preparing volunteers and coordinating activities on their own.

We bring the volunteering journey together through a coordinated, end-to-end service, turning CSR and social-value commitments into meaningful community participation.

We connect corporate social responsibility with genuine community needs, moving organisations beyond good intentions towards responsible volunteering and evidence-informed social value.

For employees, volunteering should feel accessible, purposeful and rewarding. For employers, it should be straightforward to organise, support and understand.

A continuous cycle

Every part belongs together

An organisation joins, employees are prepared and matched, community support is delivered and verified, and the results return as evidence. Then the cycle begins again, stronger.

Our Commitment

Human value first. Organisational value made visible.

“Social value should not simply be something organisations report. It should be something people experience.”

Financial contributions and volunteering statistics have their place. Yet the deeper human value of volunteering is found in companionship, conversation, belonging, shared experiences and meaningful community relationships.

Care to Volunteer connects those human experiences with responsible measurement and evidence, making social value visible without reducing social value to numbers alone.

Our Ambition

From individual contributions to collective change

Our ambition is to make volunteering a natural part of organisational culture, connecting employers, public institutions, community organisations and individuals around a shared purpose.

We want to see more people participating, more communities benefiting from meaningful connections, and more organisations understanding the difference their people make.

Not simply more volunteering hours recorded, but more opportunities for belonging, participation and lasting community relationships.

  • Participation at scale

More people giving their time, across every part of an organisation.

  • Stronger neighbourhoods

More communities benefiting from meaningful connections.

  • Lasting relationships

More opportunities for belonging, participation and community relationships.

Together, we can make giving time part of how communities grow stronger
